Fresno, TX – During a recent ceremony hosted by the Board of Commissioners for Fort Bend County Emergency Services District (ESD) No. 7, Nouryon a global specialty chemicals leader, donated \$35,000 for rescue training and equipment. The gifted addition allows ESD No. 7 the ability to build a rescue team that is equipped and ready to respond to emergencies in the industrial complexes in the Fresno, Tx community.
“Our partnership with Nouryon allows us to train with their highly skilled emergency response crews so that we are better prepared to work together in the event of an industrial emergency, said Fort Bend County’s Assistant ESD Chief Tom Henderson. “This partnership is vital and we are incredibly thankful to Nouryon for their donation to assist us in continuing to improve our level of service to the Fresno community.”
One of Nouryon’s top priorities is safety and the company’s approach to corporate social responsibility is based on volunteerism and corporate giving. “We strive to be a good corporate citizen and neighbor in the communities where our employees live and work,” said Paresh Bhakta, Senior Vice President and Chief Integrated Supply Chain Officer at Nouryon. “The employees at our Houston site work closely with Fort Bend’s ESD No. 7 and our team consistently works toward responsible manufacturing.”
